T1's are really not that confusing. First off there are basically 2 main types of T1's: voice or data. A voice T1 is usually ordered PRI for a call center. A PRI T1 consists of 23 individual telephone lines ordered in bulk with the ability to manipulate the number that displays on caller id if you have a dialer that gives you this feature. This T1 will be delivered to your office much like a regular telephone connection but it will be a larger cat-5 type network cable. Our long distance rates begin at 1 cent per minute for out of state calls. On a long distance T1 you will almost always, if not always, pay a larger fee for your in-state telephone calls.
