Useddialers.com started
out as a small call
center company located
in the heartland of
America. Our call center
started out as a very
small 5 person center
that manually dialed
all of our leads. About
2 years into the call
center we had several
more telemarketers and
decided to make the
investment of buying
a predictive dialer.
The first day our average
callers made as many
sales as our best callers
would on a normal day
and we were pretty happy.
But the second day came
and they were more used
to the dialer plus the
dialer had a chance
to set an algorythm
based on our specific
calling patterns. Our
average callers DOUBLED
what our best callers
used to make. From that
day on, we were totally
convinced that the dialer
was the best investment
we had ever made.
Then In September
of 2001, after over
six months of very intensive
research & price
comparisons of predictive
dialers, we sold our
three smaller predictive
dialers for a new, larger
"full-featured"
predictive dialer. The
"corporate trainers"
for the predictive dialers
arrived on a Saturday
and after installation,
the rest of the week
was to be for training.
On the Friday when our
two "corporate
trainers" left,
our supervisors only
knew how to turn the
predictive dialer system
on and off as well as
utilize the most basic
auto dialer functions.
The "corporate
trainers" spent
their time trouble shooting
the predictive dialer
as it was difficult
to get the new predictive
dialer to even make
phone calls .
Within one month, the
predictive dialer system
was not performing even
the most basic functions
and our sales dropped
almost 50% from our
"old" predictive
dialers. In the next
few months, we found
the "sales manager"
who sold us the auto
dialer was the designer,
installer and trainer
who developed this program
for predictive dialers
in his spare time. After
about one year of problems,
the "company"
admitted the predictive
dialer was not working
properly and we finally
sent the dialer back
and received a refund
of approximately 25%
of the purchase price.
We lost upwards of $50,000
by the time the disaster
was over; not including
a year of lost growth
potential. After the
"lemon" dialer
was returned, we spent
months researching the
predictive dialer business
and systems available.
The knowledge we have
gained from this bad
situation is priceless
and we can help you
make an informed decision
on your next predictive
dialer purchase. The
"lemon" dialer
is the very reason we
only stock predictive
dialers we know are
good systems. We will
never work with Ace
Systems again.
To fill the void until
we could afford a good
solid predictive dialer,
we purchased a used
Teleprofit system that
was very inefficient
but got us by. It was
a nightmare for us,
but it allowed us to
continue business pretty
much as normal. We were
only stuck with this
system for three weeks
and we were very happy
to move on to another
system.
After we purchased
our latest 24 agent
predictive dialer and
it was in place and
operating smoothly,
we then started receiving
phone calls and emails
from others who were
now asking us for help
on a variety of questions
and asking us if we
knew of any used systems
for sale. After seeing
that the average new
predictive dialer sells
for between $1,500 and
$2,500 per station plus
installation, headsets,
amplifiers, station
pc's, and other miscellaneous
items, we realized that
the knowledge and contacts
we had gained in the
predictive dialer market
over the last several
years could benefit
others.
We have twelve years
in the telemarketing
arena and have had a
chance to actually sit
down and use many different
systems while listening
to customer feedback
on even more systems.
We feel like we have
as good an understanding
as anyone about the
predictive dialers available
today. We are not experts
on every system but
can usually point out
some good, or in some
cases bad, points of
specific predictive
dialers. Give us a call.
We are not high-pressure
and enjoy the fact that
we are able to make
a living helping call
centers make the right
decision on their predictive
dialer purchase.
If you are in the market
or just testing the
waters, you owe it to
yourself and your company
to give Useddialers.com
a call.
